About Teams

 General Info

WHAT IS A TEAM?

A Team is a group of 10 or more people that would like to use the same fabric for the same type of garment.

WHAT IS THE ADVANTAGE OF BEING ON A TEAM?

You can have one of our garments in a pattern that is exclusive to your Team! When you use your own fabric, your skirts are discounted!

Leadership

WHAT IS A TEAM LEADER?

A Team Leader is someone who is in charge of creating, promoting, and organizing a Team.

WHO CAN BE A TEAM LEADER?

Anyone can lead a Team!

They need to be willing to spend the time getting the group together and promoting it (usually over facebook). Team Leaders will need to be organized and able to respond to emails/questions in a timely manner.

Because it can be a lot of work, we recommend having a co-leader for your first few Teams (we can help!)

ARE THERE ANY PERKS FOR BEING A TEAM LEADER?

Yes! Team leaders get a refund on their garment based on how many people are in their Team. The percentage refunded is based on how many skirts are made from your Team;

          10-25 Skirts = 10%

          25-50 Skirts = 25%

          50-100 Skirts = 50%

          100-200 Skirts = 75%

200+ Skirts = Free Skirt Up To $90

Leader Refunds are issued once all skirts in the Team have shipped.

Getting Started

HOW DO I START A TEAM?

When you think you’re ready to start a team please email our Teams Manager, Paula (paula@bolderathleticwear.com) to see if anyone has already claimed that design in the last 6 months.

Our Teams Manager can answer any questions you have about the process and even connect you with a Co-Leader.

 Fabric

WHERE CAN I FIND FABRIC?

You are more than welcome to use whatever supplier you want.

Our preferred Teams fabric suppliers are Spandex House, Spandex World, and Foreman Fabrics.

WHAT TYPE OF FABRIC DO I NEED?

Your fabric must be at least 80/20 Spandex, 2-way or 4-way stretch.

If you are not using one of our preferred suppliers, you will need to ship a 1-yard sample to us so that we can do a wash and stretch test to see if it meets our product standards.

WHO BUYS THE FABRIC?

We will buy fabric from our preferred suppliers.

If you choose a different supplier (or a copyrighted design), you & your Team would purchase the fabric and we deduct $8 from the price of your garment.

CAN I USE COPYRIGHTED FABRIC?

We do not buy copyrighted fabric.

If you wish to use a copyrighted fabric, the Team Leader would purchase the fabric (Team members pay their leader directly for the fabric).

Please note we also require each Team member to sign a waiver when using copyrighted fabric.

The Team Leader will be notified if there is any left over fabric after all orders have shipped.

If there is less than 10 yds left, the remainder is used first come, first serve as Individual customs.

If there is more than or equal to 10 yds left, the remainder will be used for a flash round, if the Team Leader so chooses.

 Promoting

HOW CAN I PROMOTE A TEAM?

All our Teams are promoted as private Facebook Groups. Teams can be found by searching the format Custom Bolder SS:_(Team name)_.

There is an example Facebook Group description in the Facebook How-To doc. on the “About Teams” page. It also lists different fan pages you can promote to and their instructions.

We also promote our Teams through Bolder Social Media on Teams Tuesdays! Our Teams Manager will reach out to you to ask permission and to get a brief description/story before we post anything to our official pages.

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT STYLES TO OFFER?

Many Team Leaders use the Polls function of Facebook to see what garment options their team is interested in. They can also vote on shorts color so everyone has a say.

Once the styles and colors are agreed on, the Team Leader will make a commitment Spreadsheet.

About the Spreadsheet

WHAT IS A COMMITMENT SPREADSHEET?

The commitment spreadsheet is an organized list that shows the garment styles the Team wants and the names of everyone who has agreed to purchase a Team Skirt. Usually, they are organized by style and and size. Name are listed under what size they will purchase.

There’s an example spreadsheet on the “About Teams” page.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I SUBMIT THE SPREADSHEET?

Once the Spreadsheet has been submitted to our Teams Manager via email, she will draft a Team Agreement. A Team Agreement is a contract that states the design, style, sizes, and number of garments will produce. It lists some other terms and guarantees that Bolder Athletic Wear will not use the design again for at least 6 months.

An example agreement is available on the “About Teams” page.

HOW DO I KNOW WHEN TO SUBMIT MY SPREADSHEET?

This is up to the Team Leader’s discretion.

You can submit the spreadsheet as soon as you reach the number requirements for all of your Team’s desired styles.

HOW DO I PAY FOR TEAM SKIRTS?

Once the Team Agreement has been approved, our Teams Manager will list all the requested garments on the “Team Custom Products” page.

The Team will have 2 weeks from the time the listing was activated to pre-pay for their commitment.

HOW DO I KNOW WHEN EVERYONE HAS PAID?

Our Teams Manager will provide an update after the Team product listing has been active for 1 week. Another update will be sent 2-3 day before the two week mark or upon request.

WHEN DOES THE FABRIC GET PURCHASED?

Team Leaders are welcome to purchase their fabric at anytime during the process. If the fabric is at our headquarters when all orders have been purchased, then production can start right away!

If we are purchasing the fabric, we have to wait until all commitments have been purchased.

Shipping

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR MY TEAM SKIRT TO ARRIVE?

All Teams have to be paid for before garments go into production.

We ask that you allow 6-8 weeks after all skirts in a Team have been purchased for the production to complete.

Team Leaders will be notified when the Skirts have come out of inspections and are ready to be shipped.
