Sheesh Tawook (Authentic Lebanese grilled chicken skewers)

Are you ready to zoom in and cook with Noha and Hope? This Wednesday, January 6 at 6pm (EST) LIVE on Zoom. We will be making together a plate of Shish Tawook.

How does it work:
Get your ingredients ready and join us on Zoom so we can all cook together.
  

These are the main ingredients you will need for 8 to 10 skewers:

  • 1 pounds boneless skinless chicken breast cut into large chunks

For the marination:

½ cup plain Greek yogurt
¼ cup lemon juice
¼ cup olive oil
6 garlic cloves crushed
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 teaspoon paprika
¾ teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon turmeric
½ teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon white pepper

¼ teaspoon sumac (optional)

¼ teaspoonred flakes (optional)

 

For skewers (optional):

  • Green bell peppers
  • Fresh mushrooms

For serving and presentation (optional):

  • Pita Bread or any thin flat bread 
  • Tomato paste
  • Lettuce
  • Chopped Parsley
  • Garlic Sauce 

Special kitchenware needed:

- Mini electric grill 

- 8 to 10 Bamboo Skewers
